Micas Café & Gelataria
Micas - Gelado Artesanal
Her name was Maria da Purificação. But in Sintra, everyone knew her as ‘Micas’. She had the hands of a confectioner and avocation:turning recipes into gestures of affection. It was among fine sugar and fragrant spices that she taught her son Pedro a great life lesson, one that is worth a thousand flavours:
"Work hard. Serve with soul. And if you can, sweeten the world a little.
This is how Micas - Gelado Artesanal was born, with a pastry heart. Inspired by Sintra, pastry tradition, each flavour is born from memory, but tastes like the present and the future.Travesseiro and Queijada become ice cream. And Pastel de Nata is eaten fresh, in a cone or with a spoon.
Micas, where family heritage meets contemporary creation. Handmade ice cream with a mum’s soul. Love, unique flavour.

Loja do Vinho
A Rustic touch in the Historical Centre of Sintra
This shop is located in Sintra’s historical centre, opposite the Royal Palace, has over 30 years’ history and was the first wine-cellar and shop in Sintra.
At the start it focused mainly on Porto wine, and later began to sell white, red, “green”, or rosé wines divided into the country’s wine regions.
The original wine cellar has been restored and is now a cosy space, which reminds one of a winery, and boasts a centuries-old granite wall.

Botica Saloia
Botica Saloia was born in the historic heart of Sintra, set within the old Municipal Market — a late‑19th‑century space that remained closed for more than a decade before being revitalized.
Inspired by the genuine flavors and traditions of the saloia way of life, it brings together, in an inviting setting, elements that celebrate the region’s cultural identity. Local products, Portuguese customs and traditional cuisine take center stage, offering an authentic experience that reveals a more intimate side of Sintra.
Just steps away from one of the oldest royal palaces in Portugal, Botica Saloia seeks to preserve local heritage and rekindle the essence of Sintra in a place so close to Lisbon yet often overlooked by its own community.
